Revitalisation
Bringing the fabric to life
A roll of fabric set aside hasn’t reached the end of its journey. Just as we reposition a pattern piece to make use of every centimetre, we give new life to existing high-quality fabrics.
Making the most of what we have
At Blankabric, every fabric deserves to be considered for its potential. We select high-quality existing fabrics to give them a new lease of life in your sewing projects.
Our approach
A piece of fabric waiting to be used has not yet reached the end of its story. Like a blank page at the back of a notebook, it is still waiting to see what we choose to do with it. End-of-line stock, production surpluses or forgotten stock: we bring these materials back into circulation, simply and usefully.
Revitalisation
A roll of fabric set aside hasn’t reached the end of its journey. Just as we reposition a pattern piece to make use of every centimetre, we give new life to existing high-quality fabrics.
Small quantities
Our collections resemble a herbarium: each new arrival is unique, has its moment in the spotlight, then makes way for the next. The fabric remnants are available in limited quantities, with no new production to restock the shelves.
Transparency
A knot does not ruin an entire plank of wood. In the same way, a slight irregularity does not detract from the quality of a fabric. When identified, it is highlighted to help you make the best use of it.
Put the impact into perspective
These figures serve as a reminder of why putting existing materials back into circulation matters: behind every new textile lie water, land, raw materials and energy.
2,700 L
Enough drinking water for one person for 2.5 years.
355 kg CO₂e
The equivalent of travelling approximately 1,800 km by car.
1 %
Barely one in a hundred worn garments is now recycled into new clothing.
These figures describe the average environmental impact of the textile sector. They provide an order of magnitude and do not represent a calculation of the savings directly achieved by Blankabric, which would require a life-cycle analysis specific to each fabric.
Choosing a upcycled fabric means adding value to an existing material and transforming it into a piece built to last.
