Ephemeral prints: organize the project around the available fabric

An ephemeral print invites you to build a creation based on the design and dimensions provided. To choose a reference, check both the drape and the pattern. The goal is to plan a complete project with the available fabric, without relying on an unconfirmed additional quantity.

Calculate the placement before the first cut

Incorporate all pattern pieces: sleeves, facings, pockets, belts, and finishes. Also reserve space for matching and the direction of the design. If the fabric is shorter than needed, choose a suitable model or plan a coherent combination of materials before cutting.

Highlight the chosen design

Identify the important areas of the pattern to place on the front or visible details. A cut with large surfaces retains a more ample composition, while small elements can play with its fragments. Compare the fluidity, opacity, and care of the fabrics if you combine them.

What to do if the fabric is not enough for my pattern?

Recalculate the placement with the actual width and the constraints of the pattern. If the need remains greater, choose another model or a planned combination in advance, without reducing the necessary margins for assembly.
