Red fabrics: choose the intensity of the color in your creation

Red can dominate a fabric or punctuate a pattern. For a garment, look at the proportion of visible color and contrasts with the background. A small repeated red shape can create a very different ensemble from a large solid.

Place the most visible elements

Identify the strongest red areas before arranging the front, sleeves, or pockets. On a loose print, the choice of placement allows you to distribute these color accents. For a small accessory, ensure that the desired part of the pattern fits into the piece.

Prepare material combinations

Choose buttons, threads, and borders with the complete palette of the fabric. If two fabrics are combined, follow their care instructions and check their compatibility before cutting. The structure and elasticity must also suit the same assembly.

Do all reds easily combine with each other?

Their shade and reflections may differ. Compare the materials in similar light and choose either a close match or a deliberate contrast, depending on your project.
